Have you ever wondered what the difference between a mini session and a full session is? How do you know which one is right for you? Well hopefully I can help explain the difference and maybe help you decide which option is best for you. Boudoir photography is a unique experience. It allows the client to embrace themselves like no other. You’re raw and vulnerable, a state which only a few photographers truly understand & capture properly. But how do you know when the right time to book yourself one of these experiences? Are you ready to dive feet first or are you more of a slowly going into the water on the stairs type? Well here are my bits of advice if you are unsure about which option is best for you. Before booking with any boudoir photographer, you should definitely make sure to look through their portfolio in depth. You should live for the way they edit and capture their clients uniqueness. Personally I would never price shop for photographers, basing a photographer off their pricing will lead to you potentially not being obsessed with your images. The saying goes “you get what you pay for”. So never price shop for boudoir and go with who you love based on their artistic skills. All photographers are different, some have a base price and some offer different options based on time limits. Some sell products such as albums and prints and wall art while some include digital options. Here at Eligan Boudoir we have switched to the option of including digital files with our session fee. We offer two options to make it simple for our clients & periodically will hold themed minis that offer a more creative element to sessions. Here’s a break down of the two options we offer. Full Session: The Full Boudoir Experience is for anyone who wants to get it all. We offer hair and makeup with full sessions as well as access to our client closet of lingerie options. These sessions include the “classic” bed shots with lots of variations of posing as well as wall shots, props, and what ever the client needs to feel like a goddess. Clients also have the option to have up to 5 outfit changes as well as the option to go full nude or have a “sheets only” option for the more modest. A gallery of 60+ images is included as well. These sessions cost $600, with a deposit required to book your date. Mini Sessions: If you are a bit timid about booking a full shoot and maybe wanna get the vibe of your photographer and if you’re not ready to commit to a full session, a mini session is the perfect option. Mini sessions typically are quicker timed (usually about 30ish minutes) and have multiple clients coming in on the same day. These sessions can be themed so you will be limited on the variety as fas as the vibe like for example glitter minis are a special type of mini I offer to my following and clients that we do a certain flow of posing with only glitter shots. This means you would not get any bed shots in your gallery. Mini sessions also do NOT include hair and makeup and clients are asked to bring their own lingerie or outfits and only include a small amount of digitals compared to the full session. These sessions are also more “budget friendly” at $350.
