​When I first got started in photography, I knew I wanted to make an impact. I guess I wasn’t quite sure exactly what type of impact I wanted to make on the world, but I knew I needed to stand out in a way that would get people thinking. Thinking outside the box is something I have done my whole life and if I am being honest, it’s something I’m rather good at doing. In general I feel like my art always makes people question my sanity but they also can appreciate the beauty in my madness.

Another thing I seem to be really good at lately is making people feel heard and understood when it comes to various religious traumas. I feel like a lot of people in my generation, experienced different levels of trauma as far as any religion goes and we all heal in our own ways. But given my talents, I seem to heal in a very creative and unusual way. Capturing questionable themes over the years to some, I’ve been able to really channel my spirituality in a very unique way through my dark and moody vibe. Sessions like this particular, one was something we both felt very comfortable pushing the limits because that’s what it ended up doing online. There really was no plan as to how this session was going to go.  We just kind of lit some candles, splashed some fake blood around, and just went with how things felt. And boy did it spark some feelings amung the masses!


But overall it was a positive reaction. Many just loving the spooky vibe but it definitely hit home for some people as a way to “stick it” to those who forced certain beliefs or practices on them through their lives. There was really no hate toward the whole thing. Maybe some just a bit put off but the blood but that’s a pretty normal reaction to the more dark and spooky things we do here at Eligan Boudoir

My art is definitely a unique experience sometimes. You either love it or question it. But in the end it at least sparks some ideas, invokes emotions, or makes you wonder how you could also channel traumas through art. I absolutely love when clients trust my creative vision when they suggest a concept not seen before. And I finally have begun to see the impact I have been making on peoples lives all along… we’re heading together ❤️
